I HAVE A PROBLEM....!!!!

Dear students,

I feel really dissappointed because I was planning to spend with my 3rd year students a week in England, walking around, speaking English, living in native host families, doing amazing outdoors activites, and just two people in the classroom want to have this adventure; however, if I plan an exchange to New York, They are delighted and they do not realize that it is quite expensive for them and their families....what should I do?? Could you give any suggestions?? I will be more than happy to hear them.

Thanks in advance dear students!!!

Ascen.

  1. You can organize a series of activities in England so that your students feel interested.

  2. You could try to convince them that in England they will be as good as if they went to New York. On the other hand you could ask what kind of activities they would like to do in New York, and you would try to organize them in England so that your students would be encouraged to go. Good luck.

  4. Hello Ascen!
What you could do is convince them that traveling to England would be much better, since it is cheaper therefore you could go longer and see many more things!
You could also see the disadvantages advantages of each place, I am sure that England would win and I am also sure that you will be able to convince them!
Put all of you in agreement, that propose some activity that you would like to do in England and I am sure that if you organize several of them they will all be happy with you!
I hope everything goes well! Good luck!

  6. To convince the students you must explain that everyone does not have the possibility of acquiring the trip to New York. The trip to England is better than not having a trip. So, the whole group could go.

  8. You could tell your students to look for ways to finance themselves in a group with different activities if they really want to go to New York, if not another good idea would be to organize interesting activities for the students in England so that more students decide to go there, you can ask they who want or organize your something.

  9. you can explain the activities that you are going to ask for an opinion on what you want to do, tell them that it will be an unforgettable experience, that they will meet many people, they will make friends and they will practice English, and explain to them that everyone you can not spend that much money and you should be in solidarity with your buyers

  10. To convince your students to go to England, you must explain to them that it is more economical and that they will have fun as much as in New York. You could also propose other activities for them to choose the ones they like the most.
    Good luck.

  11. Hi! I think the trip to New York would not be a good idea. Many students could not afford it. You should try to change their mind, and if they keep thinking the same way you can make the trip with another course. Hopefully they will be very excited about that travel to England.

  12. Hello!
You have to try to convince them that the trip to England will be cheaper and you can see incredible things. In the United States they could also see interesting things but the price would be very high. Not all families can afford this trip.

  13. Hello
I think that to solve your problem you could prepare a small list with the pros and cons of going to New York or going to England to show them that it is preferable to travel to England. For example: the fact that it is very expensive to go to New York, you could also have problems with the schedules for the length of the journey, the time difference, etc. Also, in the United States they are probably tougher than other countries with the current policy of Donald trump which could generate several problems.
